My Favourite Sites

This sanctuary is based in Lincoln and my Favourite Grandma was always collecting stamps for the Donkeys.  When she passed away I decided to carry on supporting the charity and last year I adopted a Donkey called Gemma for Holly.  We have been to visit Gemma and her friends and the place is brilliant.  You can easily spend a good day there and part with a lot of money in the gift shop!

Saint Ann's Hospice.

This is the hospice where my mum spent her last few days and there are no words to describe the amazing job that the staff do in this place.  They provide brilliant care to all their patients as well as looking after the visiting friends and family.  What else can I say but true angels!
Angels - end of.

A great site for mums who feel they want to set up their own business and make a name for themselves.  They want something they can fit around family life but also allows them to do something they love.  Great for hints and tips and getting some really useful advice.

Being diagnosed with Endometriosis, I know how painful this condition can be as well as understand how it's not recognised by a lot of GP's.  I found it very hard to cope with the symptoms of this condition, as did my husband at the time.  We found that the advice and support available from this organisation was amazing.  I even went down to the head office in London for some training days and had the best few days ever.  Not enough people understand or now enough about this condition so I'm a huge champion for getting the information out there.  I recommend this site to anyone who's looking for that first point of support or help.

Another great site for mums that are looking to get back into work or start their own business.  Loads of updates and tips and opportunities for the lifestyle you are looking to achieve.  This site has made me consider my options many times and has given me lots of food for thought.

I took part in this scheme when I was in college and I'm now lucky enough to be a business mentor for the programme.  It's a scheme that allows students to set up and run a business of their choice and if they make it work, they get all the profits.  It's a great experience for students and allows them to gain skills and practical experience in the business world.  Being able to add this to your C.V is a huge benefit and something employers look very favourably on.  I've worked with some great kids and I can't fail to get carried away on their enthusiasm.  This is when I really REALLY love my job.

This site has been a lifesave to me more times than I can say.  I've been able to speak to health advisors, but baby equipment, get healthy meal ideas, do business idea research but most importantly meet new friends.  I've met so many mummy friends on this site and they have become great mates and fellow mums.  I love sharing stories and experiences and being able to talk to like minded people, even when you're having a really crap day.  It's helped my realise that I am allowed to have my own life outside of being a mum.

Motivating Mum
A brilliant site for any mum looking to start up their own business.  Just because you're a mum doesn't mean you have to give up your own dreams and ambitions.
